  • 7- Take the official oath of office before another notary once you receive your notary commission certificate.

  • 8- Order a notary stamp and record book. Texas law requires notaries to authenticate their notarial acts by applying their official notary stamp to notarized documents and recording their notarial acts in a paper or electronic notary record book.
